Overview

This classic golf journey across the U.S. West Coast connects the iconic destinations of San Francisco, the Monterey Peninsula, and Los Angeles, blending legendary championship courses, dramatic Pacific coastlines, and vibrant city culture into one unforgettable itinerary. Designed for golfers seeking both “bucket-list” courses and a relaxed travel pace, the journey balances world-class golf with immersive coastal experiences.

The adventure begins in San Francisco, where the city’s culinary scene and cultural charm provide the perfect setting to ease into the rhythm of the trip. The first round takes place at TPC Harding Park, host of the 2020 PGA Championship, where tournament-caliber fairways showcase the strength and purity of American championship golf. The journey then continues to the stunning Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay, ranked among California’s top golf courses, where dramatic cliffs and crashing Pacific waves frame an unforgettable round.

The itinerary then moves south to the Monterey Peninsula, home to one of golf’s ultimate dream destinations — Pebble Beach Golf Links. Consistently ranked among the best courses in the United States, this legendary seaside layout sits directly along the Pacific coastline, where golf and nature combine in breathtaking harmony. The following day features a round at its renowned sister course, Spyglass Hill, followed by a scenic drive along the famous 17-Mile Drive, exploring the rugged beauty of the Monterey Peninsula before slowing the pace in the charming seaside town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, known for its artistic character and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Continuing south along the spectacular California Highway 1, the journey offers one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world, where dramatic cliffs and ocean vistas accompany the transition from Northern to Southern California. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, golfers will play Pelican Hill Golf Club, a Golf Digest Top 100 course celebrated for its Mediterranean-inspired design and expansive ocean views that capture the elegance of Southern California golf.

The journey concludes in Los Angeles, with time to explore the city’s iconic landmarks including Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica Beach. More than simply a collection of famous courses, this itinerary presents a thoughtfully paced West Coast golf experience—one that blends legendary golf venues with the natural beauty and cultural highlights of America’s Pacific coast.
