4 Day Exclusive Tour of Ancient Pingyao City and Ningwu Ice Cave
Pingyao is an ancient city located in central Shanxi Province, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province. Originally built during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1045-256 BC), it has a history of over 2,700 years. Due to its well-preserved urban landscape of China's Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, Pingyao was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List on December 31st, 1997.
In this private guided tour, you will explore the rich historical and cultural heritage in Pingyao city. You will also visit the Ningwu Ice Cave, known as the "10,000-year Ice Cave", which was formed in the Cenozoic Quaternary ice age, about three million years ago.Tour itinerary

It is the country's largest ever found permafrost, and one of the biggest in the world so far. There is a dormant volcano just 200 meters away from the ice cave, which the locals refer to as the "millennium volcano".
